The Product Owner (Expert Product Manager) is responsible for the strategic direction, commercial performance, and product evolution of a rapidly growing mobile game.

About the role

Take ownership of the product's overall commercial performance, including P&L management, forecasting, budgeting, and achievement of financial objectives. Define and maintain the long-term product vision, strategic roadmap, and backlog priorities to support player engagement, retention, monetization, and sustainable growth. Partner closely with project managers and product managers to validate roadmap feasibility, prioritize initiatives, and optimize resource allocation while empowering teams to manage day-to-day Agile execution. Monitor product performance through data analysis, player behavior metrics, cohort analysis, and key performance indicators, implementing strategic adjustments as needed. Collaborate with design, engineering, production, and leadership teams to establish product objectives, define success metrics, and improve development processes. Contribute to hiring decisions and team growth by serving as a key stakeholder in recruitment for critical project roles. Foster cross-functional collaboration and ensure all stakeholders remain aligned around strategic priorities, production milestones, and commercial targets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Game General Manager, or similar leadership role within the mobile free-to-play (F2P) gaming industry.
  • Proven success managing live operations and scaling successful mobile games, with experience in casual, farming, simulation, or tycoon genres considered a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience owning product strategy, commercial performance, P&L management, forecasting, and monetization initiatives.
  • Strong background leading cross-functional product organizations through influence, collaboration, and strategic alignment rather than direct people management.
  • Expertise in Agile product development methodologies, roadmap planning, backlog prioritization, and stakeholder management.
  • Advanced analytical skills with experience interpreting player data, KPIs, cohort analyses, and business metrics to drive product decisions.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and decision-making skills with the ability to coordinate multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including engineering, design, production, LiveOps, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote-first environment with availability compatible with teams operating within approximately three hours of Central European time.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation package.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexible working arrangements.
  • Opportunity to lead the strategic direction of a flagship, high-growth mobile game.
  • High level of ownership and autonomy with direct influence on product strategy and commercial success.
  • Collaborative international team composed of experienced gaming professionals.
  • Long-term career growth opportunities within a global gaming organization.
  • Exposure to large-scale live service operations and innovative product development initiatives.
  • Inclusive, diverse, and supportive workplace culture focused on creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
