Roles & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the roadmap
- Align product vision with business goals such as engagement, conversion, and revenue growth
- Own and manage the product backlog (features, enhancements, defects)
- Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements
- Prioritize backlog based on: business value, customer impact, risk and dependencies
- Continuously refine and groom backlog with the team
- Create compelling product narratives, presentations, and executive updates
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear business value
- Influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies: Sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews & retrospectives
- Define sprint goals and ensure team clarity
- Ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of product increments
- Possess strong technical acumen (APIs, architecture, cloud, data, etc.)
- Work closely with engineers to understand constraints, evaluate technical trade-offs, make informed decisions, align product features with technology architecture and standards
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of experience in Product Management
- Strong experience of working as Product Owner especially on projects having multiple product dependencies
- Prior experience of working with Sabre technologies (its SOAP and RESTful APIs) and understanding of GDS business
- Prior experience in Travel Domain
- Understanding of APIs (SOAP and RESTful) and system design is strongly preferred
- Prior Experience working with business partners to prioritize/determine product enhancements to meet business requirements
- Knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework, hand-on experience to create, groom, maintain features, stories in Rally
- Collaborate with all internal and external partners
- Strong analytical and technical skills, work closely with technology partners in defining solutions
- Must be able to complete everyday responsibilities and duties with minimal supervision
- Strong organization skills
- Strong communication, presentation, listening and written skills
- Participate in defining business requirements, testing support and system configuration
- Aid in the development of timelines, Statement of Work, project plans and status reports to monitor project
- Aid in the preparation of project status presentations and roadmaps
- Demonstrate leadership attitude
- Understanding of systems such as: Booking flows, recommendation engines, or travel domain constructs (flights, hotels, loyalty, etc.)
- Data platforms, event tracking, and customer journey systems
Pay
Salary Range: $100,000-$120,000 a year
