Product Marketing Manager, Market Growth & Expansion
The Waymo Marketing team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Marketing Manager to own go-to-market plan development and execution for specific market launches, expansions, or capability rollouts. Reporting to the Group Product and Growth Marketing Lead, you will partner with Product and Market Operations to support launch readiness, ensuring marketing plans reflect product capabilities, constraints, and timelines.
About the Role
As a member of the Waymo Marketing team, you will help to connect people with the magic and impact of Waymo's autonomous driving technology. You will build thoughtful marketing strategy, positioning, messaging, and creative assets to deliver messages that matter to our audience, communicated through various channels.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute go-to-market plans for specific market launches, expansions, or capability rollouts.
- Partner with Product and Market Operations to support launch readiness, ensuring marketing plans reflect product capabilities, constraints, and timelines.
- Monitor marketing health metrics in existing markets and partner with cross-functional teams to identify issues and develop targeted plans to improve performance.
- Translate market insights into execution, leveraging research, campaign performance, and local signals to refine messaging and tactics.
- Cover all bases by coordinating with Brand, Growth, Engagement, and PR teams to ensure consistent execution of narratives and market-specific details.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product marketing or market management leadership within a B2C technology company.
- Demonstrated ability to translate strategy into execution, including messaging, campaign inputs, and launch coordination.
- Experience developing and executing go-to-market plans across market launches, expansions, and capability rollouts.
- Strong strategic and analytical marketer, able to translate product capabilities, operational constraints, and market insights into clear positioning, messaging, and commercialization strategies.
Qualifications
- Experience at another ride hailing or marketplace company is preferred.
- Strong executive communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and external partners.
- Experience with, or excitement to test, new martech and AI tools to help scale efficiently.
- Experience supporting launches or campaigns across multiple markets or regions.
- Ability to flex between long-term strategy development and short-term execution.
Benefits
We offer competitive compensation, including a salary range of $210,000—$259,000 USD, a comprehensive benefits package, and participation in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program and equity incentive plan.
Travel: Occasional travel to markets for research and some travel for offsite meetings, approximately 10% of the time.
