About Campfire

Campfire is a next‑gen core accounting platform built for modern mid‑market finance teams. We’re building the future of ERP by replacing outdated systems and manual accounting processes with an AI‑native platform that helps finance teams move faster and operate more efficiently.

About the Role

You’ll join Campfire’s product marketing team as our second Product Marketing Manager, owning a specific product line, segment, or persona. You’ll shape positioning and launches, equip Sales with the tools they need to win, and bring the market’s voice back into product decisions. This shared‑services role works across Growth, Brand, Field, and Customer Marketing to keep our story sharp and consistent everywhere it appears.

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning, messaging, and narrative for the assigned focus area, grounded in customer research, win/loss analysis, and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead go‑to‑market for product launches, including tiering, launch plans, internal readiness, launch content, and cross‑team coordination.
  • Build and maintain sales enablement assets (pitch decks, battlecards, objection handling guides, demo narratives) and conduct training with Sales and SDRs.
  • Maintain competitive intelligence for the area: track competitors, update battlecards, and brief the field.
  • Partner with Product on roadmap input, naming, pricing, and packaging.
  • Collaborate with Growth on campaign messaging and offers, with Brand on core narrative, and with Customer Marketing on proof points for launches.
  • Measure impact of shipments: enablement adoption, launch reach, pipeline influence, and message testing.

Requirements

  • 4–7+ years of B2B software product marketing experience with end‑to‑end ownership of positioning and launches.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling ability; can simplify complex products without dumbing them down.
  • Comfort conducting research: customer interviews, surveys, win/loss analyses, and competitive teardowns.
  • Proven experience enabling sales teams with content they actively use.
  • Cross‑functional operator who can run launches with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing without formal authority.
  • Analytical skills to size segments, interpret pipeline data, and prioritize initiatives.
  • Nice to have: domain experience in ERP, experience running pricing and packaging changes, familiarity with sales methodologies such as Command of the Message or MEDDPICC.
