About the role

Planet is looking for a strategic Senior Product Marketing Manager to define the go-to-market strategy, positioning, and messaging for all AI capabilities across the company. In this role, you will serve as a core strategic partner to our Product Management team, acting as the critical bridge between our edge AI development and the market.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute GTM and pricing strategies to guide AI products from beta to General Availability.
  • Drive positioning and messaging that translates complex AI capabilities (e.g., embeddings, LLMs) into clear, benefit-driven narratives for non-technical buyers.
  • Produce and maintain core sales enablement assets, getting hands-on to independently create pitch decks, battlecards, product videos, and interactive demos.
  • Partner tightly with Product Management to secure product-market fit, utilizing data and research to ensure we solve real customer problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional marketing teams to seamlessly integrate product messaging into broader market-facing campaigns.

Requirements

The ideal candidate can rapidly grasp technical concepts and develop simple and effective narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. This role is expected to routinely present internally and externally at events and webinars, and should be adept at public speaking and evangelizing Planet’s mission and solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science Degree.
  • 6+ years of B2B, product or solutions marketing.
  • An AI-native builder mindset; you actively leverage AI tools in your day-to-day workflow to generate messaging, build solutions, and accelerate execution.
  • Strong technical creative chops with the hands-on ability to independently produce high-quality product videos, visual assets, and interactive prototypes.
  • Experience partnering with product, sales, and executive stakeholders and communicating across leadership.
  • Excellent organizational skills, self-starter with ability to collaborate across departments.

Skills

  • Proven ability to articulate complex technological futures and translate them into deeply penetrating product-market fit.
  • Experience working with international sales teams.
  • Geospatial expertise.

Pay

The US base salary range for this full-time position at the commencement of employment is listed below. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary short-term and long-term incentives (bonus and equity).

Schedule

This is a full-time, hybrid role which will require you to work from our San Francisco or Washington D.C. office 3 days per week.
