GoodParty.org is on a mission to make people matter more than money in our democracy by empowering Independent candidates to run, win, and serve. Since 2024, 13,000+ Independent candidates have won their races across all 50 states using our tools, training, and support. Our AI-powered platform provides free tools to launch and run campaigns, connect with voters, and serve communities effectively—without needing a political party or big donors.

About the role

You will sit at the epicenter of our GTM org as a true partner to our Product team and the connective tissue between Product and GTM. This high-influence, high-coordination role demands deep cross-functional collaboration. You’ll rarely have formal authority; instead, you’ll win through clarity of insight, quality of craft, and the trust you build across the org. This is for someone who thrives at the intersection of EQ and IQ, combining deep human empathy with data rigor to build product marketing in a category where the playbook is still being written.

Responsibilities

  • Align product, growth, sales, partnerships, and brand around a shared, deep understanding of users and product, acting as the internal educator who keeps everyone telling the same story.
  • Run voice-of-customer research (interviews, surveys, win/loss analysis, and ongoing feedback loops) to uncover the real why behind user needs, then translate it into living personas and segment maps built on demographic, behavioral, and motivational criteria.
  • Own competitive intelligence, keeping the team current on the market landscape and turning insights into positioning angles, roadmap input, and campaign strategy.
  • Develop sharp positioning and messaging by segment, use case, and channel, translating complex product capabilities into language that resonates with first-time candidates, campaign managers, and elected officials.
  • Build and maintain the enablement library (launch briefs, messaging guides, sales decks, battle cards, one-pagers, objection handling, etc.) so Sales, Growth, and Partnerships can communicate the product with confidence.
  • Drive GTM planning and execution for both feature and product launches, coordinating across teams to ensure releases land clearly and drive real adoption and usage.
  • Own lifecycle marketing post-signup, partnering with Product on activation, engagement, and retention by defining key metrics, tracking the funnel, running A/B tests, and bringing a clear point of view on what to fix next.

Reports to the Chief Marketing Officer.

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of experience in B2C tech product marketing, ideally in a fast-moving, product-led, growth-oriented, or category-building environment.
  • Ability to blend strategy and execution, thinking deeply and moving quickly as one continuous motion.
  • Experience in deeply cross-functional work, building trust, creating alignment, and moving teams in the same direction without relying on formal authority.
  • An investigative mindset—getting to the root of what users actually need, not just what they say they want, and delivering insights that change decisions.
  • Exceptional writing skills, crafting sharp one-liners, crisp landing pages, compelling subject lines, and positioning documents that align teams.
  • Data-informed and judgment-led, with experience using funnels, cohorts, A/B tests, and performance metrics to drive decisions.
  • Passion for driving money out of politics and democratizing democracy.

Nice to have

  • Experience building product marketing from 0 to 1 in a brand-new category where the playbook did not already exist.
  • Background in civic tech, political campaigns, democracy reform, advocacy, or mission-driven startups, with an understanding of the unique challenges of this space.
  • Frustration with the status quo of democracy and a readiness to act.

Benefits

  • Join a passionate, mission-driven team with diverse political views united by a shared goal.
  • Public Benefit Corporation prioritizing social impact over profit.
  • Innovative Bitcoin-denominated deferred bonus plan, offering startup upside while working on a meaningful mission.
  • Fully remote work with flexible location and schedule.
  • 100% coverage of health, dental, and vision benefits for you and your dependents.
  • Unlimited PTO (sick and vacation) to recharge—work-life balance is a priority.
  • 401(k) program for retirement savings (no employer match).
  • Individual learning and development budget to support your growth.
  • Workspace setup stipend: $50/month for internet/remote expenses or co-working options.
  • Fully funded mission—no stress over funding rounds.
