Product Marketing Director (Hybrid)

We connect product strategy, positioning, messaging, campaigns, and field enablement to make sure our agentic SOC story moves clearly from roadmap to revenue.
You will work with a cross-functional team of product marketers, product managers, engineers, campaign leads, partners, and sellers who bring urgency, curiosity, and deep ownership to the work. Responsibilities
Lead the go-to-market strategy for Splunk Enterprise Security, the industry-leading SIEM, driving adoption, pipeline acceleration, thought leadership, and revenue growth. Help shape the narrative that positions Splunk at the forefront of the agentic SOC while translating product capabilities into clear, compelling customer outcomes and use cases.
You will partner across product, marketing, and sales teams to build impactful positioning, messaging, campaigns, launches, and sales enablement. Using market insights, customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and your own industry experience, you will help influence roadmap priorities and sharpen Splunk’s differentiation in one of the most important shifts in security operations.
Requirements
- Bachelors + 15 years of related experience or Masters + 12 years of related experience
- 10+ years of product marketing experience, including cybersecurity
- 7+ years of building expertise in security markets, including SIEM, SOC, XDR, threat detection, and incident response, with strong understanding of agentic AI and security operations trends
- Experience leading go-to-market strategy and launch execution for enterprise security products or platforms
- Demonstrated ability developing product positioning, packaging, field enablement, and campaign materials for enterprise buyers
- Experience working across multi-product or cross-portfolio organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Deep understanding of agentic security operations and SOC transformation trends
- Ability to translate complex technical capabilities into clear customer outcomes and differentiated market messaging
- Executive presence and experience advising senior leaders on market trends, competitive strategy, and go-to-market priorities
- Strong storytelling skills for analysts, sellers, customers, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience partnering with product management, sales, campaign, and portfolio marketing teams in large, complex environments

- Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
- Exempt employees participate in Cisco’s flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
- 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
- Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
Pay
The starting salary range posted for this position is $230,100.00 to $325,300.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation, equity, or benefits.
Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location, market conditions, job-related skillset, experience, qualifications, education, certifications, and/or training.
The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below:
- New York City Metro Area $230,100.00 - $374,100.00
- Non-Metro New York State & Washington State $216,500.00 - $337,000.00
