Product Manager –Mini Excavator
Position Purpose
This position is responsible for leading product development, pricing, training, market strategy and marketing communications to support the growth of the Mini Excavator product line's sales volume in North America.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
- Leader responsible for Mine Excavator business performance in North America
- Own the overall strategy, product roadmap and technical/feature specifications for new products based on long-term product vision, user needs, technical and market trends, and platform capabilities
- Partnering with division and support teams to provide target product specifications and product features for completion of current and future product development of the product line
- Lead the development of compelling audience-specific messages and tools (videos, customer success stories, presentations, demos, how to guides etc.), to be used on the web, events and in campaigns
- Provide on-going product support to product manager, dealer, and direct sales teams
- Gather comprehensive voice of customer analysis to support product development activities
- Aid in tracking and communicating competitor product activity and product trends to division and regional sales teams
- Create and conduct sales training seminars and demonstrations
- Cook with the Marketing Department to create marketing materials
- Attend relevant shows and conventions
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, B. Engineering or similar
- 5+ years sales, product marketing, engineering and/or customer support experience in the industry or similar
- Must pass any drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands on experience with Mini Excavators
- Strong industry experience in construction, landscaping or agriculture
- Strong industry experience with equipment dealerships
- Strong industry experience in product development and operations environments
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Competencies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software
- Proficient in SAP
- Comfortable in an in-person office environment
- Technical selling skills and ability to translate between customer requirements and technical specifications, and vice versa
- Excellent public speaking skills and ability to present to leadership teams, customers and partners groups in a variety of settings
- Customer service oriented, flexible, and have a high energy level
- Excellent follow-through skills
- Professional, polished, and sophisticated demeanor and be comfortable in most social settings
- Open to domestic and international travel
- Desire and proven ability to learn and grow
