About the Role
As a Product Manager at TekniPlex, you will lead and manage the product line using a market-based approach, developing and executing global product line plans for the division. This role encompasses end-to-end product line ownership, including strategy deployment, roadmap development, and overall management. You’ll collaborate across Sales, Finance, Product Marketing, and Communications to drive impactful decisions and innovations in materials science that improve patient outcomes and protect essential consumer goods.
Responsibilities
- Portfolio & Product Lifecycle Management and Innovation
- Own and maintain the product plan, including current portfolio and future opportunities.
- Analyze portfolio performance metrics (revenue, gross margin, volume, price realization, market share) and convert data into strategic actions.
- Define a 3–5-year product roadmap for new product introductions, reformulations, and portfolio rationalization to drive growth.
- Establish and monitor product launch KPIs (adoption rate, trial-to-repeat, revenue ramp, gross margin).
- Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
- Develop and maintain a competitive benchmarking framework to track competitor portfolios, pricing, and technology investments.
- Conduct Voice of Customer (VOC) research and technology reviews to identify unmet needs and define new offerings.
- Monitor regulatory and sustainability trends impacting product formulation, packaging, and market positioning.
- Business Cases & Financial Accountability
- Support revenue cases for investments to secure profitable growth.
- Demonstrate qualitative and quantitative decision-making for business investments.
- Define and maintain pricing strategy and rebate governance for the product line.
- Go-to-Market Strategy & Sales Enablement
- Develop and execute go-to-market launch plans, including value propositions, channel strategy, pricing, and sales training.
- Partner with Demand Generation and Corporate Communications to create sales and marketing tools.
- Produce customer-facing collateral (data sheets, application briefs, battle cards, ROI calculators).
- Customer & Market Development
- Drive market connections through customer innovation meetings, tradeshows, and industry conferences.
- Implement tactical strategies, including in-market tasks like customer interactions and conference attendance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in product management, product marketing, or commercial management in packaging, specialty chemicals, or similar manufacturing industries.
- Experience working across multiple regions or global organizations is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
- Ability to travel up to 50%.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Experience with ERP systems, CRM platforms, and project management tools is preferred.
