Product Manager - Lumber
About the role
A Lumber Product Manager is a key role within Weyerhaeuser’s Product Management team and reports to the Senior Product Manager in the Sales Enablement organization. In this role, the Product Manager leverages an advanced understanding of lumber technology, market needs and is an integral resource for product development and management. They provide input, set direction and have an excellent understanding of business fundamentals to maintain a focus on critical product management initiatives.

Job Customer Service, Design, Sales & Marketing
- Manages a portfolio of products and services.
- Partners with customers, sales, engineering and manufacturing to identify customer needs, preferences, and pain points, and uses this information to develop market outlooks that drive product mix, segment, channel, and geographic sales and manufacturing plans.
- Identifies and assesses key business drivers, product requirements, relevant market trends and emerging opportunities and risks for building products.
- Makes ongoing market analysis to identify opportunities for new product opportunities.
- Proactively develops actionable insights and recommendations that inform and shape our strategies using analytical tools and models leveraging internal and external data sources that drive recommendations to improve competitive positioning.
Qualifications
- HS Degree and minimum of 3-5 years Wood Products or relevant industry product experience including 1+ years project management experience.
- Education: 2-year or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience in research, analytical and project management roles.
- Demonstrated business and financial competency.
- Understanding of wood products business profitability drivers and quality, ideally from both manufacturing and sales perspective.
- Strong team player with ability to proactively solve problems and effectively communicate.

- Strong understanding of product development processes, market dynamics, and customer behavior.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Pay
This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $82,500-$123,000 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience.
