About the role
We are seeking an exceptional product manager:
Your role will be to build the product to deliver a marketplace for on-demand legal services, connecting legal pros with potential customers, much like the revolutionary Uber/Lyft taxi business model, but for legal solutions, aiming to disrupt the legal industry.
Responsibilities
- Build the product to deliver a marketplace for on-demand legal services, connecting legal pros with potential customers.
- Facilitate interactions between customers and Legal Pros, schedule consultations, manage legal service workflows, and ensure Legal Pros are paid.
- Manage reconciliations and store an auditable log of every legal action.
- Ensure the product is designed to scale with increased usage and internationalization.
- Define KPIs to measure the success of the product and conduct product discovery to mitigate risks related to value, viability, feasibility, and usability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, customers, and delivery teams to identify the best architectural path forward.
- Work closely with a Tech Lead and UX Designer to produce detailed requirements and ensure timely delivery.
- Instrument the product with events to capture metrics, monitor KPIs, and report on the health and performance of the systems.
- Propose products, features, and optimizations based on data-driven insights and cost-benefit analysis.
- Develop successful relationships with third-party partners to integrate their systems and ensure they don't rely on specific vendors, regions, or customer use cases.
- Work effectively with customer-facing product teams, internal stakeholders, and designers to consult on UX and ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Deliver high-quality technical products into the hands of customers that also meet the needs of business stakeholders.
- Define and achieve KPIs and targets by leveraging data-driven insights and consistent collaboration with customers, business teams, and experts.
- Define and prioritize both functional and non-functional requirements that empower delivery teams to build API-enabled, extensible systems that scale with increased usage and internationalization.
- Represent ideas visually using simple user flows, wireframes, and presentations to create understanding and alignment with customers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery teams to ensure they are collaborating effectively and track changes to delivery dates and any potential risks, assumptions, issues, or dependencies.
- Provide updates to stakeholders within your business unit and the wider executive team, covering the scope of product releases, sprint commitments, risks, blockers, and due dates.
- Instrument the product with events to capture metrics, monitor KPIs, and report on the health and performance of the systems.
- Propose products, features, and optimizations based on data-driven insights and cost-benefit analysis, to get future releases approved by stakeholders.
- Work effectively with customer-facing product teams, internal stakeholders, and designers to consult on UX and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Develop successful relationships with third-party partners to integrate their systems and ensure they don't rely on specific vendors, regions, or customer use cases.
- Work with engineers to ensure they design systems that avoid technical debt and prevent reliance on any specific vendor, region, or customer use case.
Qualifications
- At least five years of experience as a product manager, with a proven track record of scaling SLA-timeframe driven fulfillment systems for products or services associated with a known brand.
- Effective collaboration with business leaders, engineers, UX designers, operational specialists, partners, and customer-facing product managers.
- Driven and passionate about our mission to “make the law simple and affordable for all.”
Skills
- Expertise in defining and prioritizing both functional and non-functional requirements.
- Ability to break projects down into tickets and refine with engineering teams to deliver discrete bodies of work to meet their commitments every sprint.
- Experience in developing successful relationships with third-party partners to integrate their systems and ensure they don't rely on specific vendors, regions, or customer use cases.
- Experience in working with engineers to ensure they design systems that avoid technical debt and prevent reliance on any specific vendor, region, or customer use case.
