Product Manager II, Content Compliance

About the role

Much of Pinterest's success hinges on its ability to comply with global and domestic legislative landscapes, particularly concerning content and intellectual property laws. This role involves understanding these landscapes to prioritize compliance efforts and developing tools for rights holders, legal reporting channels, and internal workflows.

Responsibilities

• Understand global and domestic legislative landscape, specifically related to content and IP laws, to inform prioritization
• Own and drive the Compliance Engineering product roadmap, including tools for rights holders, legal reporting channels, and associated internal workflows
• Partner with Engineering to identify and build systems and features that scale across legislation
• Own and improve suite of copyright and trademark tools to allow rights holders to manage their content at scale
• Lead key compliance projects, partnering with Legal, Operations, Policy, Engineering and other product teams across Pinterest

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a role related to product development, at fast-growing technology companies
• Proven ability to lead teams and work in a highly collaborative environment
• Capable of driving clarity while balancing multiple perspectives and stakeholders
• Comfortable diving into ambiguous technical problems, working closely with engineering teams
• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly in writing and verbally to many stakeholders

Qualifications

• Proven experience in legal and/or copyright/rights-related initiatives
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Schedule
