Responsibilities
- Determine what our customers need by leveraging internal and external sources, conducting customer interviews, surveys, analyzing behavior, and developing solutions.
- Categorize business problems and conduct competitive research to provide those inputs to design in order to produce solutions.
- Craft and maintain the product backlog, working with design and engineering teams to define, groom, and execute epics & features that drive the most value to our customers.
- Communicate & coordinate with designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to capture problems in user stories and ensure features, epics, and releases are well communicated, understood, and adopted by our customers.
- Work with internal stakeholders to negotiate acceptance criteria and find the right balance of scope for now vs. later.
- Provide strong evidence and rationale for decision making.
- Seamlessly integrate with fellow product managers to ensure that all teams are running in the same manner.
- Rigorously leverage data and analytics to drive decisions, features, and design.
- Collaborate with Leadership, Engineering, Design, Strategy, and Implementation to drive initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience and success in B2B/SaaS/Web in product management positions.
- Demonstrated experience as a technical product manager or working with an API-based product.
- The mentality to do what's best for the product and our customers.
- Experience leading substantial aspects of product management, including identifying opportunities, defining a product roadmap, creating business cases, driving execution activities, and measuring results.
- A data-driven approach to scope and priority management.
- Exceptional communication & organization skills.
- Working knowledge of Jira, PivotalTracker, Trello or equal project-management software.
- Experience working in the P&C insurance space is a plus.
