Product Manager, Grid & Specialty Metal

About the role

Rockfon, a division of ROCKWOOL Group, is seeking a Product Manager, Specialty Metal and Grid. This position reports directly to the Head of Product Management and is based at the Rockfon head office in Chicago, IL (60638).

What You Will Be Doing

• Responsible for the development of the two key products groups, including identifying key product gaps, new products to drive competitive advantage, and acting as a key technical resource and support for the Sales team.
• Liaise with Finance, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sales, Sustainability, Acoustics, and the wider Marketing team.
• Create strategic product and system development plans in line with market needs and key goals and objectives, executing and launching in a timely manner across all product groups.
• Develop and execute a new product road map to both close the gap to competition and develop key market differentiators for key stakeholders, i.e., installation contractors.
• Identify and develop service propositions including elements such as CAD and BIM.
• Deliver a comprehensive training program for the complete portfolio (internal and external).
• Create a comprehensive range of selling tools (both on and offline) allowing the Commercial team to easily present our portfolio to drive specifications and contractor engagement.
• Support sustainability initiatives for both product groups.

What You Bring

• A strong knowledge of the construction marketplace and deep knowledge of ROCKWOOL’s products and systems.
• Bachelor's degree in a Construction-related field, preferred.
• 4+ years product management experience within building products, with a preference for experience in ceilings and acoustic solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to executives, customers, and internal teams.
• Understanding of the product lifecycle in construction (from specification to installation).
• Familiarity with sustainability metrics and green building certifications (LEED, EPD, etc.).
• Understanding of supply chain and distribution channels in construction.
• Market research & analysis - ability to identify market trends and customer needs.
• Strategic planning - develop product roadmaps and go-to-market strategies.
• Data analysis - interpret sales data, market metrics, and customer feedback.
• Pricing strategy - understand cost structures and competitive positioning.

Pay & Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 – 100,000.00. Your base salary is determined based on location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. This position is bonus eligible.
