About the role

The Epic Product Manager at Ensemble plays a crucial role in shaping Epic strategy, standards, and adoption to support consistent, high-performing operations across clients. This role operates as a trusted, executive-facing partner, collaborating with various teams to form clear, solution-oriented recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as an expert in Epic functionality, current capabilities, and future roadmap.
  • Set strategy for Epic upgrades, enhancements, and feature adoption.
  • Evaluate Epic functionality for applicability and value.
  • Spend significant time with Operations to understand workflows, challenges, and successes.
  • Translate business needs into Epic standards and adoption strategies.
  • Lead discovery to understand underlying problems before defining solutions.
  • Apply creative problem-solving and solution-oriented thinking.
  • Form clear, prescriptive recommendations with rationale and tradeoffs.
  • Lead requirements and scoping across Ops, Epic, Innovation, Product, and Data initiatives.
  • Inform Epic Standard Operating Models (SOMs) based on functionality and best practices.
  • Own development and maintenance of Epic playbooks.
  • Identify integration needs and opportunities, translating operational requirements into scalable Epic-aligned integration approaches, including third-party systems.
  • Educate and partner across Epic Services on Epic standards and functionality.
  • Partner closely with Partnership Success to support consistent messaging to clients.
  • Participate in Epic RevCyclers and lead workgroups as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 5+ years of Epic experience in healthcare operations or an IT environment.
  • Epic certification(s) in Patient Access, Hospital Billing, Professional Billing, or HIM.
  • Deep Epic functional expertise.
  • Strong executive-ready communication skills.
  • Creative, solution-oriented problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

  • Preferred experience in product management, solution design, or operational strategy.

Pay

This position pays between $92,400 - $138,600 based on experience.

Schedule

This is a remote position; however, candidates must be willing and able to travel to and work onsite at client, temporary, or corporate office locations as business needs require.
