About the Role

This is a career-level product management role that manages through subordinate managers/supervisors the activities for multiple products, including one major application, with responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing. You will receive assignments in the form of objectives and determine how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the product vision for the assigned portfolio and shape the product strategy and roadmap based on client and user feedback, usage metrics, and competitive research.
  • Work closely with internal departments (Development, Servicing, and Sales) and external stakeholders (customers and partners) to strategically improve your product portfolio.
  • Manage the Product Life Cycle process for portfolio product offerings and actively support sales with expertise, consulting, tools, and collateral.
  • Own the full product lifecycle from concept to launch, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and delivering measurable value to clients.
  • Architect competitive roadmaps by collaborating with industry analysts, sales, and delivery teams to prioritize features, hardware (devices), and market positioning.
  • Shape go-to-market strategy by partnering with product marketing to translate technical innovations into compelling value propositions and define pricing strategies.
  • Influence through data-driven insights by synthesizing market research and client feedback to build high-impact business cases for executive decision-making.
  • Foster cross-functional synergy by leading matrixed teams and building strong relationships across IT, project management, legal, and sales.
  • Advocate for the client by participating in collaborative workshops to define product requirements and turn client needs into intuitive solutions.
  • Champion operational excellence by providing technical design direction and support to delivery teams for high-quality, scalable product releases.
  • Drive the GTM function to clearly promote adoption of new products and manage the product plan to reflect market and business priority changes.
  • Present status updates at quarterly and annual stakeholder meetings, identifying risks, opportunities, and growth strategies.
  • Prepare and present product plans and roadmaps, including release dates, integration needs, and retirement plans.
  • Monitor and understand the product’s profit and loss statement; may be responsible for revenue and profitability of assigned products.
  • Engage with clients during feedback sessions, focus groups, and requirements gathering to practice open and honest communication.
  • Act as product launch manager for new products or major releases.
  • Collaborate with senior management to provide content for market messages, sales collateral, and RFPs.
  • Complete Product Brief documents to socialize new products or enhancements.
  • Work closely with development teams to review enhancement requests for strategic value and align resources for high-priority projects.
  • Manage vendor relationships key to product delivery and act as the escalation point for client issues requiring product change resolution.
  • Travel may be required to GPN office locations, trade shows, and/or client locations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in product management or professional services, with a proven ability to resolve complex business challenges through creative, data-informed solutions.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of professional training and hands-on experience.
  • Technical proficiency with a strong foundation in software development or IT environments, including practical understanding of Agile methodologies and the product development lifecycle.
  • Strong understanding of the POS software/hardware/payments landscape, JSON, RESTful APIs, and cloud-based communication methods.
  • Ownership mindset with an innate drive to manage product P&Ls and act with accountability as a business leader.
  • Collaborative influence with demonstrated success in navigating matrixed organizations and leading diverse teams toward a shared vision.
  • Analytical rigor with a natural curiosity for market trends and the ability to turn complex data into clear, actionable strategies.
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for creating high-quality products.

Pay

The good faith estimated annual salary range for this full-time position is $133,900.00–$202,150.00. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on the role’s responsibilities, level, and geographic location. The actual starting salary will be determined by a candidate’s experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a bonus. Changes in work location may impact the final offered salary.
