Job Description
Commercial & Money Movement Solutions: Visa has a strategic growth initiative to expand beyond core consumer card payments (C2B) and into broader money movement flows between individuals, businesses, and governments. The investments that Visa has made over decades in C2B provides Visa with the infrastructure, technical capability, brand, expertise, and relationships to tap into money movement between a much broader coupling of counterparties (B2B, B2b, B2C, P2P, G2C, G2B, etc.). The target market opportunity of more than $185T in potential volume is an aspiration for the company, with an aggressive net revenue forecast over the next five years.

Our enhanced data products, ranging from offerings like Commercial Enhanced Data Program (CEDP) and third-party data feeds from airlines, hotels, car rental companies, and Amazon, are foundational to how we compete, grow, and deliver value. Product Manager Role
At Visa, typically the Product Manager role works within one Product domain and has a deep understanding of the product capabilities of that domain but also a general understanding of the product capabilities across the entire Enhanced Data product suite. They work in close collaboration with senior PMs to understand the product strategy, market drivers and business goals and then execute the roadmap for the product domain. The PM role is to champion & be the voice of “why” and “what” in inward phases of product development, from design to delivery within daily engineering dialogue. They are accountable for feature and product outcomes in alignment with product strategy, value proposition & client/market needs. They are responsible for understanding what is valuable to the business, and what is feasible from development perspective, facilitating the requirement definition and working closely with the engineering colleagues to prioritize and plan the development work. While not accountable for delivery team operations, the PM does monitor delivery progress and will actively communicate risks to Product Management leadership & Engineering leadership where necessary. The Product Manager will also be involved in review/curation of any release notes and other Product documentation relevant to their Product domains.
Accountabilities
Strategy, Planning and Prioritisation: Work with product leaders to understand product area vision and goals, communicating with stakeholders and working with product engineering teams to ensure that the team maintains a cohesive vision and delivers outcomes that are aligned to goals
Understand customer needs in collaboration with Product Management, leveraging customer sales, Account Management & support teams, market information and customer research
Using product knowledge along with market, customer and data insights - including those surfaced through AI-powered analytics and tooling - to inform the feature backlog and solution designs
Evaluate where AI and automation capabilities can enhance or accelerate proposed solutions
Manage product backlog, ensuring items are prioritized based on the overall strategy and business objectives
Contribute to the Annual, half yearly and quarterly planning process for your allocated domain working in close collaboration with Product leaders to align on priorities for the stream
Collaborate effectively with engineering teams on planning/sequencing of work within the scrum framework to ensure alignment
Strive to be a subject matter expert in your domain while also maintaining a current understanding of how AI and emerging technologies are shaping the Fintech product landscape
Solution Delivery
Contribute to product discovery, working closely with Product leaders, Data Scientists, UX teams and other stakeholders to establish a clear understanding of the target users’, pain points to ensure solutions meet the required product outcomes
Apply AI-assisted research and discovery techniques where appropriate to deepen customer insight
Monitor delivery of features and ensure any risks are communicated to relevant stakeholders, and work with delivery teams to mitigate risks where possible
Review outbound communications relating to product features, to ensure a high degree of quality and accuracy
Coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve target outcomes
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Experience:
- 5+ years experience in Fintech software product development
- Experience in working in agile environments, with excellent understanding of modern product development and design processes
- Experience in working in cross functional and empowered teams
- Able to understand and clearly articulate the vision, strategy and business requirements of any items in the product backlog
- Technical competence to be able to communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g., architects, UX designers and development teams)
- A working understanding of AI/ML concepts and their practical application in product development is a plus
- Experience leading Product demos with internal stakeholders
- Facilitation skills, with the ability to conduct effective workshops and meetings
- Experience in Fintech, cards, payments, and/or corporate accounting practices is preferred
- Able to work in a highly collaborative fashion with internal technical stakeholders to drive successful product outcomes
- Able to be productive with prototyping, data analytics and AI-assisted tools (e.g. using AI tools for research, documentation, workflow automation or rapid prototyping)
- A confident and engaging communication style
- Deep understanding and empathy of client needs and commercial drivers
- Able to Influence and lead people and teams

Mental/Physical Requirements
This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
