Product Manager
This role is hybrid in-office 3 days per week.
About the role
Our Product Management team is seeking a Product Manager for Platform to join our passionate, driven, and fast-paced team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development and business success of Tanium products that are part of the core platform, including hosting, services, and appliance. You will own and maintain the product roadmap from ideation to launch of Tanium’s platform components in partnership with our engineering teams, while keeping customer needs, satisfaction, and adoption at the forefront.
Ideal candidates are entrepreneurial, have intuition and an understanding of what makes an enterprise software business successful, and are strong communicators who can bring their industry expertise to drive vision and development cross-functionally across all levels of the organization. This is an individual contributor position.
Responsibilities
- Own the delivery of the product roadmap from ideation to launch in partnership with the engineering teams.
- Collaborate with other Product Managers across the organization to define the strategic short- and long-term technical roadmap of products and identify new opportunities.
- Document customer use cases, product requirements, and business justifications for new feature development.
- Partner with internal teams on the development of appropriate materials to ensure successful enablement and training on new features and updates.
- Support product marketing initiatives, partner relationships, and other opportunities to accelerate the adoption of your products and build Tanium’s brand.
- Work closely with business and technical teams to find solutions to daily challenges.
- Leverage innovation and trends in the marketplace to develop strategic solutions.
Requirements
- BA/BS degree from a leading undergraduate institution.
- 3 to 5 years of enterprise software experience.
- 3 to 5 years of professional work experience in analytical (investment banking, consulting, data science), strategic (product management, business operations, strategy), or engineering (software engineer) roles.
- Product management experience with MSFT and/or ServiceNow or a focus on partnerships and integrations.
- Demonstrable ability with analytical tools like Excel, SQL, R, and Python.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with IT operations and systems management products.
- 3 to 5 years of experience supporting IT operations and systems management products from a consulting or vendor point of view.
- Demonstrated success in working with engineering teams to plan, develop, and launch successful software products.
- Willingness to take on firmly entrenched competitors with creative approaches to technology and a tenacious pursuit to build and grow a product’s customer base.
- Excellent communication skills with an intuition for technology and software business strategy.
- Intuition to identify greenfield (or neglected) markets that align with Tanium’s platform and present opportunities for rapid growth.
- Ability to establish and nurture strong customer champions who can serve as advocates and an advisory board for the product.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Adept at understanding and navigating organizations to inspire and influence internal and external customers.

Pay
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $135,000 to $210,000. This range is an estimate, and the actual salary offered may be adjusted based on factors including location, education, skills, training, and experience.
