Rain Bird Agriculture Product Managers drive product development and execute innovation and product marketing strategies. The role focuses on market analysis to identify customer needs and opportunities, expanding the Agriculture SBU’s portfolio to solve agricultural irrigation challenges. Success is measured by delivering high-quality products on time and on budget, meeting revenue targets, and strengthening Rain Bird’s market position.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional new product development teams to deliver high-quality products on time and on budget, achieving revenue and margin targets.
  • Drive innovation-related marketing research activities for Rain Bird Agriculture.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies, including sales and internal marketing materials, to ensure successful product launches.
  • Champion a “quality first” orientation across the organization to maintain and improve Rain Bird’s industry-leading quality reputation.
  • Build in-depth global knowledge of competitive share, positioning, and pricing to inform sales and marketing strategies.
  • Prepare product presentations and conduct training for the sales force, distributors, and growers.
  • Travel domestically and internationally (20-35%) to develop and maintain market knowledge.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of marketing and product development experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, leadership, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver results on time.
  • Experience translating technical knowledge into engaging marketing and educational materials.
  • Experience with new product development using a Stage Gate process.
  • Experience leading marketing research projects.
  • Strong analytical skills, including converting data into actionable insights.
  • Experience with marketing and/or selling through B2B channels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Undergraduate degree in business, marketing, or engineering.

Qualifications

  • Experience with and passion for the Agriculture industry.
  • Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing and plastic extrusion processes.
  • Proven track record managing new product development projects.
  • Proven track record developing go-to-market plans that drive sales.
  • MBA with exposure to marketing and program management (desired).

Pay

Salary range for candidates based in California: $181,000 - $272,000. Ranges include base salary and annual incentive bonus, where applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
