Peak Performers has partnered with a State Superior Court to assist in their search for an IT Product Manager in Phoenix, AZ.
About the role
In this position, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects within Court Technology Services (CTS).
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects within Court Technology Services.
- Align projects with Judicial Branch priorities, strategic goals, and business mandates.
- Manage custom application development, SaaS implementations, infrastructure modernization, and cross-agency integrations.
- Use Agile, waterfall, or hybrid delivery methods as appropriate to the project.
- Gather requirements, define scope, and prepare project documentation, including charters, plans, schedules, communication plans, and meeting agendas.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, resource estimates, and allocated funding.
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with CTS staff, court departments, outside agencies, vendors, contractors, and the public.
- Manage SOWs, contracts, task assignments, and interdepartmental coordination to keep work moving smoothly.
- Set stakeholder expectations, track progress, and provide regular updates.
- Identify and mitigate project risks, monitor budget and timeline performance, and keep projects on time and within scope.
- Evaluate project effectiveness, support training and coaching, and promote best practices and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build effective relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience managing projects, teams, and competing priorities in Agile, waterfall, or hybrid environments.
- Ability to facilitate requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops, and project ceremonies such as kickoffs, standups, retrospectives, and steering committees.
- Skill in translating customer needs into realistic project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team while managing multiple concurrent projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to share status, risks, and trade-offs clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive sponsors.
- Experience using project data and metrics to support decisions and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification preferred; CSM, PMI-ACP, or SAFe certification a plus.
- Experience leading Agile software delivery, including sprint planning, backlog management, and release coordination.
- Experience delivering web, mobile, or SaaS application projects in a court or other complex public-sector environment.
- Change management experience, including Prosci ADKAR or a similar framework.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, data integration, and information security considerations.
- Experience with project and collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps, Jira, ServiceNow, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SDLC, Agile, PMBOK, vendor and SOW management, and high-volume court or public-sector processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
Pay
$55.19/hour (W2 contract).
Schedule
- Onsite in Phoenix, AZ.
- 9-month contract with opportunity for conversion.
