Product Manager
Responsibilities
Strategy and product roadmap
- Synthesize research, analytics and best practices to solve problems for New Yorkers
- Create roadmaps that outline direction and timing for product development
- Manage the software product's lifecycle from conception to launch acting as the bridge between program strategy, user experience, and technology focused on fulfilling New Yorker needs
- Deliver outcomes to New Yorkers
- Synthesize research, analytics and desk research to understand user problems and define and validate that features solve real user problems
- Decide what to build to maximize user value and program impact and prioritize work and filter out requests that don't deliver strategic outcomes
- Define and monitor outcomes and KPIs to prioritize evidence-driven improvements
- Cross-functional leadership and collaboration
- Collaborate with program owners to define outcomes and KPIs for products
- Translate and prioritize user needs into requirements and guide program, UX and engineering teams to deliver software that delivers outcomes
- Consider other agencies' stakeholders as critical to product success and as customers themselves.
- Write user stories, acceptance criteria and system requirements working closely with UX and engineering teams to define technical feasibility and architecture

Qualifications
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and four years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain
- An associate degree from an accredited college in computer science, engineering, human computer interaction, interactive media, digital and graphics design, data visualization, communication or a related field, and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain
- A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and eight years of satisfactory full-time experience related to the area(s) required by the particular position and a specialization in a relevant technology, process, methodology and/or domain
- Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above.
Preferred Skills
- 10+ years proven experience in a product role supporting the launch of digital features and products that help end users using SDLC best practices
- Hands-on experience developing digital products through the product cycle from planning, analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Fast learner with ability to manage multiple products from strategy to executional details
- Expertise using data to support the decisions and prioritization of requests, enhancements and new features
- Self-motivated and proactive, appreciates a work environment of collaboration and transparency
- Experience with synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data (e.g. Google Analytics) to make decisions
- Experience working across ecosystems, platforms, and new technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex challenges
- Self-motivated and proactive with ability to creatively solve problems
- Best-in-class attention to detail with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven track record of bringing diverse groups and perspectives to work towards a common goal

Pay
The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The Product Manager works day shifts and may be required to work weekends and/or evenings due to the 24/7 nature of the position.
Location
The Product Manager works in Brooklyn, NY.
