About the role
You'll partner with product, eng, and sales to gather customer feedback, rethink workflows from first principles, and launch new experiences for our clients. Your focus: interaction research and UX thinking for collaborative workflows.
Responsibilities
- Design Collaborative Experiences
- Define how construction estimators interact with the platform and each other
- Design multi-user workflows for team-based preconstruction work
- Create intuitive interfaces for analyzing 300-page+ tender documents together
- Build real-time collaboration features for document sharing, commenting, and coordination
- Establish interaction patterns that make complex workflows feel simple
- Drive Customer Understanding
- Lead customer research with construction estimators
- Conduct user interviews and feedback sessions to understand workflows
- Translate construction professional needs into product requirements
- Partner with clients on adoption and feature validation
- Build deep empathy for complex B2B professional users
- Front-End Product Strategy
- Define collaboration feature roadmap
- Balance user needs with AI capabilities and technical constraints
- Make strategic product decisions on feature prioritization
- Drive adoption through better UX and collaborative features
- Measure and optimize collaboration effectiveness
Requirements
- Must-Have:
- 5-10 years of product management experience
- Strong UX sensibility: You can articulate design decisions, interaction patterns, and user mental models
- Trust in Autonomy: You understand the importance of building trust in autonomy between skeptical users and AI Agent
- B2B product experience: You understand enterprise/professional users and complex workflows
- Customer research skills: You're passionate about spending time with users and translating needs into products
- Collaboration product expertise: You've built features for products like Notion, Miro, Figma, Coda, Airtable, Linear, or similar multi-user collaboration tools
- San Francisco based: You're currently in SF Bay Area or ready to relocate immediately
- Team player: You're excited to partner with the PM who owns construction domain and technical architecture
- Nice-to-Have:
- Background in construction, manufacturing, or complex B2B domains
- Design thinking or user research expertise
- Early-stage startup experience (Seed/Series A)
- Experience with European clients and/or global products
- Technical background or ability to collaborate closely with engineers
