About the Role

Nelson Global's GT Silex Division is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the development, expansion, and commercialization of our complete exhaust, emissions control, acoustics, and thermal management product portfolio for large stationary engine applications. This strategic leadership role requires deep technical and commercial expertise in industrial exhaust systems, emissions control, aftertreatment technologies, and large engine applications. The Product Manager will define product strategy, manage system-level requirements, coordinate design and development, and establish a global supply base to support growth objectives. This role serves as the primary technical and commercial leader, translating customer requirements into integrated system solutions that meet performance, regulatory, acoustic, thermal, durability, and cost objectives.

Applications span data centers, industrial power generation, combined heat and power (CHP), distributed energy, marine, mining, oil and gas, and critical infrastructure power systems. This is a highly visible and critical position, playing a key role in establishing Nelson Global as the market leader in complete exhaust and aftertreatment systems for the industrial large engine power generation sector.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap for complete exhaust and emissions control systems serving large stationary engine markets.
  • Expand and strengthen Nelson Global's portfolio of aftertreatment, acoustics, thermal management, and exhaust system solutions for industrial large engine power generation.
  • Identify market opportunities, customer needs, competitive trends, and technology developments to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Support commercial teams in positioning Nelson Global as a preferred systems supplier for complete exhaust solutions.
  • Lead the design and development of integrated exhaust systems from concept through commercialization.
  • Translate customer Statements of Work (SOW), Statements of Requirements (SOR), technical specifications, and regulatory requirements into executable product development plans.
  • Manage system-level requirements, performance targets, cost objectives, timelines, and technical deliverables.
  • Coordinate engineering resources and supplier partners to ensure products meet customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the development and integration of systems including:
    • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems
    • Diesel Oxidation Catalysts (DOC)
    • Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF)
    • Urea/DEF dosing systems, injectors, pumps, sensors, and fluid delivery components
    • Electronic controllers and control panels
    • Monitoring and diagnostic systems
    • Mixing tubes and static mixing elements
    • Exhaust piping and ducting systems
    • Structural skid assemblies and support structures
    • Silencers and acoustic attenuation systems
    • Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) solutions
    • Thermal management systems, insulation, steel cladding, and thermal blankets
    • Integrated exhaust and emissions packages for stationary power generation
  • Lead the identification, qualification, development, and management of a global supply base supporting complete exhaust system solutions.
  • Establish strategic supplier partnerships for key technologies and components.
  • Coordinate supplier performance, capability assessments, quality expectations, and cost competitiveness.
  • Support sourcing strategies that enable scalability, profitability, and global market growth.
  • Serve as the primary product leader for customer programs involving complete exhaust and aftertreatment systems for industrial large-engine applications.
  • Interface directly with customers to understand technical requirements, performance expectations, and project objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure successful execution of development programs.
  • Track and report system performance, validation results, project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Support proposal development, technical reviews, and customer presentations.
  • Help establish Nelson Global as a market leader in complete exhaust systems for industrial large-engine applications.
  • Support business growth across multiple end markets including data centers, industrial power generation, CHP, distributed energy, marine, oil and gas, mining, and critical infrastructure power systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 12 years of direct industry experience in exhaust systems, emissions control systems, aftertreatment technologies, stationary power generation, large engine applications, heavy-duty diesel systems, industrial combustion systems, or related markets.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and commercializing complex engineered systems for industrial or heavy-duty applications.
  • Proven expertise with SCR, DOC, DPF, emissions control technologies, exhaust systems, acoustics, thermal management systems, or related product categories.
  • Strong understanding of large stationary engine applications from leading OEMs such as Caterpillar, Cummins, Rolls-Royce, INNIO Jenbacher, Generac, MAN, Wärtsilä, or similar manufacturers.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional product development programs involving engineering, sourcing, suppliers, manufacturing, quality, and commercial teams.
  • Experience developing, qualifying, and managing strategic suppliers and global supply chains.
  • Strong customer-facing experience with the ability to interpret Statements of Requirements (SOR), Statements of Work (SOW), specifications, and performance guarantees.
  • Proven project leadership and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple development efforts simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in data center power generation, CHP systems, distributed energy, marine power, or industrial power generation markets.
  • Knowledge of global emissions regulations, environmental compliance standards, and permitting requirements.
  • Experience with controls integration, DEF dosing systems, engine emissions monitoring, and system validation testing.
  • Experience leading international supplier development initiatives and global product platforms.
