About the role
LaSalle Network has partnered with a well-established manufacturing company in West Chicago in their search for a Product Manager. In this role, you will lead the development and lifecycle management of innovative products. This role is responsible for bringing new products from concept through launch while partnering cross-functionally with Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Support to deliver products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple product development projects simultaneously from concept through commercialization.
- Identify new product opportunities through market research, customer insights, and competitive analysis.
- Develop product business cases, including product positioning, pricing, ROI, timelines, and go-to-market strategy.
- Drive cross-functional product development teams, ensuring milestones and launch timelines are achieved.
- Partner with Marketing to develop product messaging, sales tools, technical documentation, and launch materials.
- Manage product portfolios throughout the lifecycle, including new product introductions, line extensions, product enhancements, and discontinuations.
- Analyze sales performance, margins, and profitability to recommend pricing, portfolio, and product strategy decisions.
- Coordinate custom product requests and collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure successful execution.
- Present product updates and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Design, or a related field.
- 5+ years of Product Management experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven success managing products through the full product lifecycle.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Sales, and Marketing.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using sales, margin, and market data to drive business decisions.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- 2+ years experience managing industrial, commercial, or durable goods products.
- Experience with custom product development or engineered-to-order products is a plus.
- Ability to be onsite at least three days a week.

Pay
This position pays a base salary of $90k-$100k dependent upon experience, with eligibility for a 10% annual bonus.
