Product Manager
Position Summary
Identify areas of opportunity for ITW Medical for our filtration products within prioritized market segments that are a focus for the division.
Develop discovery interview guides, research plans and partner with cross functional teams to conduct customer interviews.
Attend customer meetings to support product development at customer locations.
Partner with Engineering & Innovation Director to identify innovative product concepts and present business cases for the prioritized opportunities.
Create product roadmaps for existing universal products and collaborate with the cross functional team to justify and deploy product line enhancements and extensions.
Create launch plans and quantified value proposition for product launches. Assist Sales team by building tools to sell our quantified value proposition.
Primary Responsibilities
Identify and size filtration opportunities in prioritized Surgical, Infusion, Bioprocessing and Diagnostic segments and convert insights into clear business cases.
Lead customer discovery by creating interview guides and research plans, conducting interviews with cross‑functional partners, and translating findings into product requirements.
Own universal product roadmaps, partnering with Engineering and the Innovation Director to prioritize concepts and justify line enhancements and extensions.
Lead product launches, including quantified value propositions, pricing input, and sales tools that communicate differentiated clinical and economic value.
Develop and execute IP strategies for universal products in partnership with legal.
Build relationships with OEMs, suppliers, standards bodies and other stakeholders to monitor trends and inform product and portfolio direction.
Ensure universal product compliance with relevant standards and regulations, coordinating with Quality, Regulatory and Engineering.
Use the APQP stage‑gate process to plan and execute projects, ensuring cross‑functional alignment and smooth transition into commercialization.
Improve collateral, website content and selling tools to strengthen early‑funnel prospecting for filtration solutions.
Position Skills And Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering or related field; MBA preferred.
- 3+ years progressive experience in Product Management, Marketing or Engineering with new product development and commercialization; regulated industry experience preferred.
- Proven ability to build data‑driven business cases and present recommendations to senior leadership.
- Strong strategic thinking, connecting clinical, regulatory and market trends to portfolio, roadmap and IP decisions.
- Experience managing cross‑functional projects within a stage‑gate framework (e.g., APQP or similar).
- High accountability for business outcomes, comfortable setting priorities and driving execution from concept to launch.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, integrating qualitative customer insights and quantitative market/financial data.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to simplify complex technical and clinical concepts and collaborate across regions and functions.
- Ability to thrive in a decentralized, entrepreneurial environment, demonstrating curiosity, initiative and the ability to motivate others.
- Ability to travel up to 30%, primarily domestic with occasional international travel.
