Product Manager

About the role

IT Engagements is seeking a Product Manager for a 12-month contract with a premium client based in Raleigh, NC (hybrid work). The ideal candidate will have at least 12 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage large technology contracts, system implementation vendors, SI partners, or SaaS/hosting providers
• Interpret SOWs, technical deliverables, project plans, SLAs, acceptance criteria, and contract language
• Drive vendor performance through influence, diplomacy, escalation management, and structured accountability
• Coordinate across cross-functional teams including IT, business leaders, SMEs, and executive stakeholders
• Proactively identify risks and navigate complex vendor issues
• Validate deliverables, review technical documentation, and confirm readiness for acceptance or payment
• Translate contract terms and technical impacts to nontechnical audiences
• Manage vendor performance for complex technology contracts
• Support contract interpretation and compliance
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, business, product, testing, and operations
• Handle vendor performance management and escalation
• Show technical fluency in systems, integrations, data, and testing
• Manage financial and contract lifecycle aspects

Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of contracting processes and compliance requirements
• Proven ability to interpret SOWs, technical deliverables, project plans, SLAs, acceptance criteria, and contract language
• Technical fluency to understand systems, integrations, testing workflows, data impacts, and modernization-related technical dependencies
• Excellent communication skills to translate contract terms and technical impacts to nontechnical audiences
