Responsibilities

  • Own the full software product lifecycle, leading initiatives from early discovery and requirements gathering through development, UAT and final production release.
  • Drive Agile execution by maintaining a healthy backlog, leading sprint ceremonies, monitoring team velocity, and ensuring deadlines and milestones are consistently met.
  • Translate complex or ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable User Stories, Acceptance Criteria and Functional Specifications that reduce engineering rework and accelerate delivery.
  • Identify and manage risks and dependencies across systems and teams, proactively removing technical blockers to maintain delivery momentum.
  • Serve as the primary communication bridge between executive leadership, business stakeholders, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and shared understanding across all phases of delivery.
  • Work with project and company leadership to drive AI products and processes around how AI is going to be used at Index.
  • Support business development activities and proposal activities as needed.

Qualifications

  • A U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States and eligible to demonstrate physical residency in the U.S. for at least three (3) of the past five (5) years.
  • Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Public Trust security clearance.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical field. Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO) or Scrum certification are preferred.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience, including two (2) or more years in Product Management within a software delivery environment.
  • Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or similar project management and documentation suites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous government contracting experience strongly preferred.
  • General understanding of how data moves between modern SaaS and legacy on-premise systems (e.g., APIs, batch processing).
  • MuleSoft experience a nice to have.
  • Experience working on projects that involve extracting data from older legacy applications.
  • Experience coordinating complex deployments that involve multiple moving parts and testing environments.
