Product Manager
About the Role
Product Managers at Frontline Education are outcome-driven leaders responsible for empowering cross-functional teams to solve meaningful customer and business problems. They operate at the intersection of user needs, business strategy, and technical feasibility — translating insights into solutions that create measurable impact. As the owner of a product area, the Product Manager defines vision and strategy, drives discovery and delivery, and fosters alignment across Product, Design, and Engineering. They act as the voice of the customer and the business, ensuring that every initiative advances Frontline’s mission and delivers meaningful value to K12 educators and administrators.
Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Vision
- Define a clear, compelling product vision and strategy aligned with company goals and customer needs.
- Develop multi-quarter product plans grounded in outcomes, not outputs — focusing on value creation, adoption, and business impact.
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment on priorities, trade-offs, and success metrics.
- Discovery & Validation
- Lead continuous discovery to deeply understand customer pain points, jobs-to-be-done, and opportunities for innovation.
- Collaborate with Design and Engineering from the earliest stages to validate desirability, feasibility, and viability.
- Test hypotheses and de-risk investments through experimentation, prototypes, and customer feedback loops.
- Use data and evidence to inform prioritization and refine product direction.
- Delivery & Execution
- Partner with Engineering and Design to plan, build, and ship solutions that deliver measurable outcomes.
- Write and prioritize well-crafted user stories and acceptance criteria that connect back to validated problems.
- Ensure the product backlog reflects clear priorities, dependencies, and value-based trade-offs.
- Facilitate agile rituals that balance short-term iteration with long-term strategic outcomes.
- Leadership and Collaboration
- Operate as a servant leader — empowering teams through context, not control.
- Build strong relationships across Product, Design, Engineering, and GTM teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Communicate clearly and credibly with internal and external stakeholders, representing the product vision & strategy with clarity and conviction.
- Foster a learning culture through retrospectives, experimentation, and cross-team knowledge sharing.
