Marketing$120k–$130k/yrFull-time

Schumacher & Co. is an innovative interior design company disrupting the $150 billion global interior design industry. As a technological leader, we push boundaries and strive for excellence with over 500 employees. We design and produce beautiful fabrics, wallcoverings, trims, rugs, furniture, and accessories, united by a passion for design and a drive for quality. Our globally recognized brand operates numerous showrooms domestically and internationally, with our people as our competitive advantage.

Our core values—Preserve Our Entrepreneurial Spirit, Take Ownership & Accountability, Be Solutions-Oriented, Demonstrate Courage, Practice Adaptability, and Embrace Collaboration—guide our daily work and positively impact our customers' journey.

About the role

Schumacher is hiring a Product Manager to join the ecommerce product team. This newly created role focuses on improving conversion from acquisition through add-to-cart. You will own initiatives driving traffic to schumacher.com and features that help designers evaluate and compare products to boost add-to-cart rates. This includes internal tools (e.g., email campaign management, CMS) and on-site improvements for the designer experience. You will also lead cross-brand digital experience initiatives across FS&Co group brands (Schumacher international sites, Tillett, Patterson Flynn, Backdrop, and others).

Responsibilities

  • Research and discovery: Conduct user research (interviews, usability testing, data review) to identify friction points and opportunities within your scope. Leverage existing product data and fieldwork.
  • Scoping and prioritization: Frame problems before solutions. Build prioritized roadmaps based on business impact (traffic, conversion) and effort, and justify trade-offs to stakeholders.
  • Requirements Definition: Write clear specs and PRDs with upfront success criteria. Translate business/user needs into actionable user stories for engineering and design teams.
  • Delivery: Drive day-to-day development with engineering and design teams. Run agile ceremonies, make mid-sprint trade-off calls, unblock issues, and ensure quality of shipped products.
  • Experimentation and results measurement: Design and launch A/B tests, define success metrics, analyze results, and translate findings into product decisions. Track initiative impact on traffic and conversion over time.
  • Continuous improvement: Address maintenance and recurring pain points with the same rigor as major launches to ensure a high-performing, reliable site.

Skills

  • Curiosity about AI: Proactively integrate AI tools and processes into daily work to enhance research, analysis, writing, or delivery.
  • User orientation: Prioritize user needs and challenge ideas that don’t enhance the customer experience.
  • Design sensibility: Build user-friendly, visually consistent products aligned with brand identity. Collaborate effectively with designers.
  • Analytical, data-driven mindset: Independently gather insights using tools (analytics, SQL, dashboards) to inform decisions grounded in data.
  • Proactivity: Identify problems and opportunities before they’re flagged, taking initiative without explicit direction.
  • Cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management: Work effectively with dev teams, sales, marketing, portfolio development, and data teams. Communicate clearly and build buy-in.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product management or a closely related function (e.g., product ops, growth).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working on an ecommerce site, ideally in traffic acquisition and conversion.
  • Professional English proficiency for an international, multi-country work environment.
  • Comfort with analytics and data tools (e.g., Contentsquare, Power BI, GA4) to conduct independent analyses.
  • Experience in luxury or design is a plus.
