About the Role
The role drives the product strategy, roadmap execution, and feature delivery for core platform infrastructure that connects internal API services with external business partners. This position sits at the intersection of complex software engineering and strategic commercial goals, translating technical capabilities into scalable developer experiences. The team operates in a hybrid environment in New York, NY, collaborating directly with senior engineering leads, data scientists, and enterprise account management teams to prioritize high-impact API integrations and internal developer tooling.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the multi-quarter product roadmap for developer-facing APIs, SDKs, and platform integration services
- Translate complex engineering capabilities into clear product requirements documents (PRDs), user stories, and system architecture diagrams
- Establish, track, and report on key product performance metrics including API latency, developer activation rates, and platform uptime
- Lead daily standups, sprint planning, and backlog grooming sessions in partnership with dedicated agile engineering teams
- Conduct competitive market analysis and customer discovery interviews to identify gaps in the developer ecosystem and API developer portal
- Coordinate cross-functional launch plans with product marketing, technical support, and legal teams to ensure compliant, high-adoption releases
What We Are Looking For
- 3–6 years of experience in product management, specifically managing technical products, APIs, or developer platforms
- Strong technical literacy, including the ability to read API documentation, query databases using SQL, and understand system architecture designs
- Proven track record of launching and scaling technical B2B or platform products from initial concept to commercial production
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical business stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field
- Bonus: Experience with GraphQL, AWS cloud services, or managing API developer ecosystems
