About the Role

We are seeking a Product Manager to manage product portfolios throughout the product lifecycle—from planning to execution—in support of organizational strategy and objectives. This role involves customer voice of the customer (VOC), category management, product line simplification, margin enhancement, and new product development planning and execution. The Product Manager will work with cross-functional teams across multiple locations to understand problems and develop innovative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute annual and long-term (3-5 years) growth strategies, including product, technology, and/or service roadmaps and associated business cases.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement AOP initiatives to enhance product profitability.
  • Create comprehensive product definitions, including models, base configurations, and required options to enable guided selling and portfolio simplification.
  • Build a library of market segments and applications, identifying required products for success in these areas.
  • Determine market size (revenue, units), growth, and opportunity in collaboration with corporate market research.
  • Identify market drivers and customer buying behaviors.
  • Perform competitive analysis, including SWOT, pricing, features, and product breadth comparisons to establish price/value positioning.
  • Provide pricing guidance and collaborate with the pricing team on new product pricing or strategic pricing initiatives.
  • Clearly define target customers, markets, primary benefits, and value propositions for products.
  • Manage product simplification, core definition, and lifecycle management for assigned product lines.
  • Maintain market focus through regular customer, sales, and marketing interactions, including distributor and end-user training.
  • Work closely with sales management to identify growth opportunities and new product development ideas.
  • Conduct regular VOC activities to identify market trends, drivers, customer satisfaction needs, and buying behaviors.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on advertising, promotional campaigns, and go-to-market product launch efforts.
  • Provide Sales, Customers, and Channel Partners with support, information, and materials to learn about products and applications.
  • Provide project management support for major cross-functional and product management projects.
  • Attend regional and national sales meetings and conferences.
  • Present products via internet conferencing, in-person meetings, tradeshows, or other industry events.
  • Assist with other strategic projects and related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field such as economics, communication, advertising, marketing, or statistics.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Product Management, Market Analysis, Category Management, Sales Management, or a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • Experience in the food retail or refrigeration industry preferred.

  • Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to multi-task competing priorities and projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, including Power BI.
