Product Manager

Hybrid schedule: 2 days a week in-office (offices available statewide, one of those days must be Wednesday) and 3 days remote.

About the role

DSI is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the modernization of a critical application used for resolving public complaints with utilities companies. A three-year modernization effort is underway, and this role will define the product vision, prioritize the roadmap, and oversee the planning and delivery of the project.

Responsibilities

• Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the application modernization initiative.
• Elicit, document, prioritize, and manage business and functional user stories from stakeholders across the Commission.
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and product backlog items.
• Collaborate with solution architects, developers, UX/UI designers, and vendors to define modern technical approaches, including platform, architecture, and integration decisions.
• Prioritize features and technical work based on business value, risk, dependencies, and strategic goals.
• Facilitate agile ceremonies (backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives) as needed.
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the technical delivery team.
• Define success metrics and KPIs for the modernized application and track progress against them.
• Support change management, user adoption, and training efforts related to the modernized solution.
• Ensure the product aligns with Agency standards for security, accessibility (WCAG), data privacy, and compliance.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and impediments and drive resolution.
• Provide regular status updates and recommendations to IT leadership and business sponsors.
