About the role
Responsible for maximizing an assigned global product line’s existing and future portfolio, customer commitment, revenue, gross margin, and managing the product life cycle. The Product Manager collaborates and aligns with commercial leaders on setting and executing against the global product strategy, pricing collaboration, product modifications for margin management, and achieving targeted margin growth. Success is defined by both top-line and margin improvements on assigned product lines with existing and new customers. The Product Manager has global responsibility for defined product line portfolios.
Responsibilities
- Manage the project of launching any new product or material within the assigned product line(s).
- Understand the importance of influencing matrixed cross-functional global teams and the competitive landscape.
- Business case review, including production capability assessment, capital expense requirements, material capabilities, and market needs.
- Track product line health against key metrics including volume growth, profit margin, operating cash flow, asset utilization, and working capital management.
- Drive engagement interacting with customers alongside the assigned Account Managers.
- Act as a liaison with supply chain and has responsibility for asset management including product allocation/prioritization, S&OP, TSS, etc.
- Work with operations to influence the life cycle of the product and product profitability.
- Identify and review any single point of failure that could create revenue risk to the product line.
- Set internal pricing floors and targets for account managers, in collaboration with commercial leaders.
- Understand potential opportunities as it relates to capacity and maximizing margins.
- Train and guide new sales representatives on product.
- Accountable to every commercial leader where product(s) are sold.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Engineering, Process, Design, or Manufacturing background strongly preferred.
- Minimum two years of relevant commercial experience as well as operational experience.
- Previous P&L responsibility is preferred.
Skills
- In-depth technical product knowledge as well as strong analytical skills.
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
- Perform detail-oriented tasks utilizing high language and math skills.
- Silicon Carbide industry experience preferred.
Pay
Target annual salary range: USD 108,192 – USD 142,814. Actual compensation is based on experience, skills, and education.
