MarketingFull-time

Position Summary

Caris Life Sciences is one of the largest precision-oncology platforms in the world, serving hundreds of thousands of molecular cases a year and growing at double-digit rates. The Product Manager - Clinical Software Products owns features and capability areas within one of those clinical products, working with a Senior Product Manager or Director of Product who owns the product end to end.

Job Responsibilities

  • Own discovery, definition, and delivery for assigned features and capability areas within a clinical software product, guided by the product's strategy and roadmap.
  • Run discovery with the ordering physicians, pathologists, geneticists, laboratory operations, and commercial teams who depend on the product; validate problems before proposing solutions.
  • Write product requirements engineering teams can act on: epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria clear enough to build from and complete enough for a regulated environment.
  • Sequence and groom the backlog for assigned areas, keeping it value-ordered and evidence-backed.
  • Scope releases, assemble the launch-readiness evidence, and bring it to the go/no-go decision alongside senior product, engineering, quality, and regulatory partners.
  • Track adoption and utilization after launch; propose iteration or retirement on the evidence.
  • Lead working sessions with clinical, operational, commercial, and technical stakeholders for assigned areas, making the trade-offs visible.
  • Use generative AI as daily leverage in discovery synthesis, analysis, requirements drafting, and product documentation.
  • Surface recurring manual steps in the workflows a product serves, and bring automation candidates to the roadmap conversation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years in product management, or equivalent product or program experience, including work on technical or platform-scoped products.
  • Experience writing structured product requirements (epics, user stories, acceptance criteria) that engineering teams built and shipped.
  • Experience defining or tracking adoption, utilization, or outcome measures and using them to inform product decisions.
  • A record of working across technical and non-technical stakeholders to reach clear, documented decisions.
  • Fluency with generative AI tools in product discovery, analysis, requirements, or documentation work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in a relevant field, such as an MBA.
  • Experience in healthcare diagnostics, molecular pathology, clinical laboratory, or life sciences software.
  • Experience in environments governed by FDA, SOX, CLIA, or HIPAA requirements.
  • Ability to translate regulatory or compliance constraints into actionable product requirements.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks and associated product-management tooling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at varying levels of technical and clinical fluency.
