Key Responsibilities
- Market Intelligence: Monitor the pharma/biotech landscape, including market trends, emerging technologies, and competitor strategies, to maintain a competitive edge.
- Strategic Alignment: Identify high-value product opportunities that align with customer needs and AST’s Mission, Vision, and Purpose.
- Product Strategy: Develop and execute product roadmaps with actionable goals that support AST’s broader market strategies and sales targets.
- Investment & R&D: Propose capital expenditure and R&D initiatives essential for achieving long-term business objectives.
- Program Management: Direct complex development programs, maintaining full accountability for budget adherence and milestone scheduling.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with Execution and R&D teams to initiate, prioritize, and manage the product development lifecycle.
- Go-to-Market Execution: Partner with Marketing, BD, and Engineering to launch products through integrated campaigns, internal training, and technical literature.
- Commercial Support: Work with Sales Engineering to craft professional proposals for standard product lines.
- Lifecycle Management: Coordinate with Quality and Engineering on change controls, product revisions, and technical updates.
- Cost Optimization: Drive value engineering initiatives with Supply Chain and Engineering to optimize product cost structures and feature sets.
- Specification Control: Manage and maintain rigorous product specifications throughout the entire project execution cycle.
- Relationship Management: Cultivate deep customer relationships to anticipate evolving needs; represent the company in industry organizations and standards committees.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- Industry Expertise: 5+ years in Product Management, ideally including 2+ years in the pharmaceutical sector with a solid grasp of industry-specific regulatory requirements.
- Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience in the design, manufacture, and integration of automated machinery.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, exposure to 3D modeling, CFD, or animation software is highly desirable.
- Financial Acumen: A proven track record in strategic financial planning and budget management.
- Communication: Exceptional technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Agility & Leadership: Ability to pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and motivating cross-functional teams.
- Professionalism: Demonstrated history of sound commercial judgment, high integrity, and a proactive, thorough approach to project ownership.
Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
- Must be willing to take and successfully pass a drug test.
- Must be willing to submit to and successfully pass a background check.

Pay
Competitive compensation range for onsite WA applicants is $115,000-135,000 annually.
