About the Role
This 10-week summer internship provides hands-on experience within the Product Division, running from early June through mid-August at one of our four corporate offices in the Chicagoland area. Interns take ownership of projects while gaining valuable insight into day-to-day responsibilities, with opportunities for social and networking events, leadership presentations, and community service activities.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product Division team members across all areas of business including product development, marketing, global sourcing, sales, negotiation, quality assurance, operations, and financial strategies
- Develop and launch new product lines and/or product improvements
- Assist in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies
- Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional pieces and design packaging
- Research the market and perform analyses to determine new opportunities to grow the business
- Craft and deliver presentations to sales force and customers
- Negotiate with vendors to ensure business goals are met while maintaining strong business relationships
- Work with Inventory Management to ensure proper stock levels and service level goals are met
Qualifications
- Junior standing required
- 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
- Previous internship experience in product management/development, marketing, and/or business preferred
- Active interest in the Healthcare industry preferred
- Excellent organizational, planning, communication and follow-up skills required
- Excellent presentation skills for large and small groups
- Strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Bias toward action and results oriented
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Unrestricted permanent US work authorization
Pay
$23.25 - $33.75 hourly, based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities.
