Product Management Director - Metal Payment Cards
About the role
The Director of Product Management, Metal Payment Cards, will own the strategy, roadmap, execution, and lifecycle management of CompoSecure's metal card product portfolio. This individual will partner closely with Sales, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Marketing, and key financial institution customers to develop and commercialize innovative card products that drive growth and enhance the consumer payment experience. The ideal candidate is an experienced product leader with a strong understanding of payment card ecosystems, financial services, premium consumer products, and product commercialization. This role requires a highly collaborative leader who can translate customer needs and market trends into scalable product solutions while balancing commercial objectives, operational feasibility, and customer satisfaction. The role is based onsite in Somerset, NJ 5 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Leadership
- Define and execute the long-term product vision and strategy for the metal payment card portfolio.
- Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.
- Identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and market opportunities within payments ecosystems.
- Serve as a key member of the leadership team, influencing strategic decisions and investment priorities.
Product Development & Execution
- Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept through launch and ongoing optimization.
- Prioritize initiatives based on customer value, business impact, technical feasibility, and market demand.
- Partner closely with Engineering and UX teams to translate strategic objectives into product requirements and deliverables.
- Establish product success metrics and drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision making.
Customer & Market Engagement
- Act as the voice of the customer by conducting research, gathering market feedback, and analyzing customer behavior.
- Engage directly with enterprise customers, financial institutions, partners, and technology stakeholders.
- Develop business cases and product positioning strategies to support product adoption and revenue growth.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Customer Support teams to ensure successful product launches and market adoption.
- Partner with business development teams to evaluate strategic partnerships and ecosystem opportunities.
- Work closely with legal and compliance teams to navigate regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- 10+ years of product management experience, including significant experience in payments, financial services, fintech, card manufacturing, or adjacent industries.
- 5+ years of people leadership experience managing and developing product teams.
- Proven track record of launching and scaling complex products in highly regulated or technical environments.
- Strong experience developing product strategy, business cases, and go-to-market plans.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage executive-level customer relationships.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.
