About the role
Corning's Connectors & Adapters business sits at the intersection of technology and commercial strategy. Product Line Specialists own critical elements of product lifecycle execution—from new product development and commercialization through pricing strategy, customer engagement, and supply-demand alignment—partnering across engineering, operations, and commercial teams to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Lead execution of product line strategy by integrating market insights, competitive assessments, and cross-functional collaboration to identify new applications, refine product positioning, and drive growth.
- Own new product development and launch activities from early-stage justification through full commercialization, including leadership of pricing strategy across base, floor, contract, and day-to-day pricing.
- Serve as a voice-of-customer (VOC) expert in customer-facing engagements; lead resolution of product, quality, and service issues, balancing customer and business needs for rapid resolution.
- Maintain alignment with Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure supply and demand are forecast-aligned; identify and lead initiatives to reduce product complexity and manufacturing cost.
- Quantify value propositions, assess business case assumptions and market risks, and drive strategic, technology, and operational product line initiatives to conclusion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or Business.
- 4+ years of experience in product management, product line, or commercial/technical role.
- Demonstrated experience in commercial or customer-facing roles, including mapping product value propositions to customer requirements.
- Proficiency in complex numerical analysis and data modeling using Excel or equivalent analytical tools.
- Location: Charlotte, NC.
- Travel: Up to 20%, domestic and international.
Qualifications (Preferred)
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree.
- Experience in telecommunications or high-volume manufacturing.
- Experience coordinating across global and regional product teams and manufacturing locations.
- Bilingual English/Spanish.
- Experience partnering with supply chain, manufacturing, and product engineering teams to improve cost, service levels, and business performance.
- Experience managing product portfolios through growth, rationalization, cost reduction, complexity reduction, and lifecycle optimization.
- Experience developing business cases, pricing models, financial forecasts, or market opportunity assessments.

Pay
The range for this position is $100,646.00 - $138,388.00 assuming full-time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
