Product Lead
Job Summary
The Product Lead is responsible for owning and driving delivery of web application capabilities across the user interface, APIs, and backend jobs that support core business workflows, user actions, and downstream system updates. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, engineering, QA, data teams, data scientists, and Product Management to translate business priorities into actionable features, user stories, and operational requirements.
Position Responsibilities
- Own and manage the product backlog across web application features, APIs, and backend job-based workflows, ensuring priorities are aligned to business value, operational stability, and roadmap commitments.
- Translate business needs and product strategy into detailed features, user stories, workflow requirements, and acceptance criteria for user-facing functionality and supporting application services.
- Partner with engineering, QA, data teams, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver enhancements and fixes across web interfaces, application APIs, and backend processing jobs.
- Drive prioritization of usability improvements, operational fixes, and new capabilities that improve user workflows, submission controls, configuration management, and decision support.
- Coordinate dependencies across upstream data platforms, downstream integrations, authentication, operational support, and platform services required for end-to-end application delivery.
- Support planning and execution for releases, defect remediation, user acceptance testing, and post-release validation for web application changes.
- Monitor and communicate backlog status, delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs across application initiatives.
- Help define and document workflow expectations, user interactions, API behaviors, and operational process requirements to improve clarity and delivery readiness.
- Partner with technical leads and support teams to drive continuous improvement in application reliability, usability, observability, and issue response.
- Ensure delivered capabilities align with enterprise standards for security, compliance, supportability, and change control.

Qualifications
- Degree Type: Bachelor's Degree
- Field(s) of Study: Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or related discipline supporting enterprise applications or digital products.
- Experience: Working with software products spanning user interfaces, APIs, and backend or job-based processing components.
- Experience: Translating business requirements into detailed user stories, functional requirements, workflow definitions, and acceptance criteria.
- Experience: Working in agile delivery environments and partnering closely with engineering, QA, and business stakeholders.
- Experience: Managing product backlogs and supporting end-to-end delivery of application enhancements, operational fixes, or workflow improvements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience: Supporting business-critical platforms that combine analyst-facing workflows, operational controls, and system integrations.
- Experience: Working with enterprise web applications, service-based integrations, and job-driven operational processes.
- Experience: Supporting platforms with frequent releases, defect triage, and close user feedback loops.
- Experience: Working across multiple teams and systems to manage dependencies in complex operational environments.
