About the Role

The KLA Services team, headquartered in Milpitas, CA, is responsible for maintaining the high performance and productivity of our products through a flexible portfolio of services. This includes proactive tool management, expertise in optics, image processing, and motion control, 24/7 technical support, and an extensive parts network. As part of this team, you will own the installation of new tools at customer sites, troubleshoot complex system-level problems, and ensure consistent results within specified cycle times.

Responsibilities

• Independently install new tools at customer sites, occasionally requiring guidance from managers.
• Follow procedures to provide consistent results within specified cycle times, exercising judgment within defined practices and policies.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex system-level problems during installations using standard procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
• Implement best-known methods (BKMs) to resolve system-level problems with multiple causes.
• Escalate issues when necessary, providing clear communication about previous actions and data.
• Take full ownership of administrative tasks, including field service reports and daily pass-downs on installation progress and non-conformances.
• Contribute to post-activity Quality Feedback Reports.
• Obtain necessary international travel documents and manage personal logistics to accommodate 80-90% travel, both domestic and international.
• Assist junior engineers by providing guidance, technical assistance, and phone or on-site support.
• Develop basic Plans of Action (POAs).

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, a related field, or military service.

Pay

Base pay range: $31.78 - $54.04 per hour. Actual pay depends on factors such as job-related skills, experience, education, state minimum wage rates, and location.
