About the Group/Division

The KLA Services team, headquartered in Milpitas, CA, supports service sales and marketing, spares supply chain management, field operations, engineering, product training, and technical support. This organization partners with field teams and customers to maintain high performance and productivity of KLA products through a flexible portfolio of services, including proactive tool management, 24/7 technical support, and an extensive global parts network.

Responsibilities

• Independently own the installation of new tools at customer sites, occasionally requiring guidance from managers.
• Follow procedures to deliver consistent results within specified cycle times, exercising judgment within defined practices and policies.
• Troubleshoot and repair complex system-level problems during installations using standard procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and best-known methods (BKMs).
• Escalate issues when necessary, providing clear communication about previous actions and data to secure needed support.
• Take full ownership of administrative tasks, including field service reports, daily pass-downs on installation progress, and non-conformances.
• Contribute to post-activity Quality Feedback Reports.
• Obtain necessary international travel documents and manage personal logistics to accommodate 80–90% travel, both domestic and international, by commercial transportation.
• Assist junior engineers as needed, providing guidance and technical assistance at customer sites.
• Develop basic Plans of Action (POAs) and offer phone or on-site support for junior engineers.

Requirements

• 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, a related field, or military service.

Pay

Base pay range: $33.75 – $57.36 per hour.
