Position Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, impactful, and persistent leader for our Technical Delivery function. This position reports directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
What You’ll Do
- Provide Vision and Leadership: Help set the vision for Technical Delivery, and provide the energy and guidance to lead the team toward realizing that vision.
- Mentor and Manage the Team: Challenge and develop our tight-knit team of highly motivated and highly talented delivery professionals, shaping them into a well-oiled technical implementation machine.
- Institutionalize Domain Expertise: Create a structured set of best practices from our industry-leading experience in clinical trial oversight. Create systems and processes to apply them consistently to and continue to learn from client engagements.
- Strengthen Our Client-Facing Presence: Create more proactive and consultative relationships with our customers. Position us as a trusted advisor and partner that helps our clients run their studies better.
- Enable Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively, and enable your team to work effectively, with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Quality, Sales, and Marketing at all levels: aligning on strategic planning, developing collaborative processes, and managing tactical details.
- Prepare for Scalable Delivery: Build the DNA that will enable us to deliver at scale, including defining roles and responsibilities, creating repeatable processes, and working with Product and Engineering on evolving our internal tools.
- Set a Culture of Excellence: One of core values is “A+”: the idea that we always strive to perform at an A+ level. Model that value for the team and ingrain it into them in a positive and collaborative way.
What You’ll Need
- Work Experience: 10+ years in technical implementation, solutions engineering, or equivalent at a B2B SaaS or enterprise software company. 3+ years in a management role. Experience in an early-stage or growth-stage startup is highly preferred.
- Industry Experience: Experience in clinical trials is not required, although experience with technically complex implementations and/or highly regulated industries is a big plus.
- Technical Literacy: Proven experience with and aptitude for highly configurable SaaS platforms, advanced low-code software configuration tools, and complex data models in a mission-critical role.
- Strategic Thinking: Relentless ability to digest complex objectives and challenges and synthesize them into a clear and achievable plan of attack.
- Bias to Action: Drives progress forward in the face of uncertainty. Practitioner of the “perfect is the enemy of good” philosophy.
- Delegation Awareness: Understands when to delegate and when to be hands-on (and isn’t afraid to do so). Provides the appropriate level of guidance and support when delegating to others, letting them own the problem without dictating the solution.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially around complex business or technical issues. Asks the right questions at the right times.

- Direct engagement with TruTechnologies' seasoned leadership team.
- Opportunity to contribute to major decision-making processes.
- Involvement in transforming sample tracking and advancing clinical research.
- Possibilities for career advancement and personal development as the company expands.
