Product Estimator - Utility Truck & Crane

About the role

Ring Power Corporation is seeking a Quote Processor to join our team. This position will process quote requests for New and RPO equipment, prepare and submit detailed quotes, maintain documentation, and collaborate with vendors and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Process quote requests for New and RPO equipment
• Prepare and submit detailed quotes to Account Managers and Customers on or before bid due dates
• Maintain detailed notes and documentation during the quoting process
• Determine gross profit margins on all quotes
• Create final sale prices based on compiled accurate pricing
• Consult with vendors/manufacturers to achieve the best pricing
• Work with the management team to set pricing strategies
• Collaborate with engineering groups to ensure designs comply with safety and legal guidelines
• Overcome design challenges and recommend spec changes to management
• Review stock chassis, body, and aerial quotes for stock orders
• Estimate delivery dates based on production and delivery schedules
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and prepare bid tabulations
• Assist other operating groups with industry expertise
• Provide accurate specifications to vendors
• Collaborate with the Account Manager, manufacturer, engineering, and customer to address design challenges
• Review customer-supplied chassis specs for approval
• Maintain stock quotes and pricing
• Maintain positive relationships with vendor/manufacturers
• Assist in the order process when needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in technical spec writing/quoting and/or project management
• Able to comprehend written material and communicate effectively
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience preferred

Education and Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in technical spec writing/quoting and/or project management. A bachelor's degree from a four-year college or equivalent experience is preferred.
