About The Role

The Product Engineer, User Journey is responsible for the frontend experience and analytics implementation at Project Healthy Minds. This role involves shipping features that enhance how users find and connect with mental health services, and measuring the effectiveness of these features.

  • Own and evolve the frontend user experience across the PHM marketplace
  • Implement and maintain analytics instrumentation using Segment and GTM
  • Ship features end-to-end: from understanding the problem to building the solution and measuring impact
  • Partner with Product and Design to translate user insights into technical solutions
  • Use AI tools (e.g. Claude Code) to accelerate development and iteration
  • Identify opportunities for improvement based on user testing and passive analytics data
  • Contribute to the "logged in" experience as we expand authenticated features

What You'll Bring:

  • Production experience with TypeScript and Next.js
  • Familiarity with NestJS or similar Node.js backend frameworks
  • Full-stack capability with a frontend focus—comfortable across the stack but passionate about the user experience
  • Experience with analytics tooling (Segment, Posthog, GTM)
  • Demonstrated adoption of AI-assisted development (Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
  • A product mindset: asking "why are we building this?" before diving in
  • A belief in our mission: connecting millions of Americans to mental health services that actually work for them

The annual salary for this role is $155,000-$195,000, commensurate with experience and fit.
