Essential Functions
- Provide engineering design support, manufacturing and Lean support, and technical support for internal personnel and external customers.
- Design, solid modeling, drafting, and support of new concepts and products, including Air Disc Brake Calipers, Rotors, Hubs, and Brake Drums.
- Create and approve Engineering Change Orders.
- Identify and implement solutions for issues relating to Lean, safety, quality, productivity, and cost reduction as they relate to the design and function of Webb AFM products and facilities.
- Work with Manufacturing and Quality to test and evaluate products as required to aid delivery or support customer service initiatives.
- Aid in warranty analysis and disposition to customers.
- Aid in data analysis from Fleet Testing, Data Acquisition Testing, and Dynamometer testing.
- Supply technical support to customers and fleets in need of product and application information.
- Communicate with customers and fleets via telephone, email, and customer/fleet visits.
- Share specialized knowledge with others.
- Represent the Company on specific projects and participate in project teams as needed.
- Conduct product training (in-person and digital) for Webb customers, end-users, employees, and sales personnel.
- Aid in updating and maintaining bills of materials and Item Master information in MAS.
- Aid in maintaining product information such as weight reports and pattern wear reports.
- Aid in the development of New Product Bulletins, Service Bulletins, and any other advertising or product training information.
- Aid in other specialized training projects as required.
Position Qualifications
- Solid-modeling and drafting experience required (SolidWorks preferred).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Strong typing/computer skills including MS Word and Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Sound problem-solving skills and detail oriented.
- Must possess strong mechanical aptitude, ability to use basic measuring tools, and hands-on capabilities to work on projects without supervision.
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 4-year Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering required (Mechanical Engineering preferred).
- 1-5 years of automotive or manufacturing engineering experience preferred.
