About the role
We are seeking a Product Engineer with experience in semiconductor ASIC product engineering to support new product introduction (NPI) from design through high-volume manufacturing. The role involves cross-functional collaboration with design, test, DFT, foundry, manufacturing, reliability, and operations teams to ensure product quality, yield improvement, qualification, and successful production release.
Responsibilities
- Drive semiconductor products from design stage through qualification and high-volume production.
- Manage product development schedules, design optimization activities, and production release milestones.
- Analyze product performance and maintain datasheet compliance throughout development.
- Perform statistical data analysis using engineering tools to calculate CPK, identify outliers, and establish statistical limits and guard bands.
- Participate in first silicon (First Si) bring-up, debug activities, yield improvement, and test time reduction.
- Collaborate with Design, DFT, Test, Foundry, Reliability, and Manufacturing teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Define product validation plans and translate design requirements into production test strategies.
- Lead cross-functional engineering meetings across global development teams.
- Support manufacturing readiness (MP Readiness) and coordinate production ramp activities.
- Drive yield analysis, silicon optimization, process improvements, and test robustness to achieve manufacturing targets.
- Work with Reliability Engineering teams to complete product qualification based on JEDEC and AEC-Q100 standards.
- Support customer return (RMA) investigations and failure analysis for field-related issues.
Requirements
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 1–8 years of semiconductor Product Engineering experience.
- Experience supporting ASIC products from development through mass production.
- Strong understanding of semiconductor manufacturing and product qualification processes.
- Experience working with Design, DDA, DFT, Test, Foundry, Reliability, and Production teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured debugging approach.
- Experience in yield improvement, product characterization, and production support.
