Product Engineer II

This is a 24-month contract with a potential for extension, located in Lafayette, CO.

About the role

Responsibilities may include production support engineering related to testing methods, procedures, and problems; device specification and yield issues; minor redesign of devices and masks; analysis of customer returns; and optimizing device production relative to cost constraints. Assumes responsibility for the device after transfer into high-volume production and typically oversees entire device manufacturing operations other than wafer fabrication. May assist customers with device usage problems or testing of complex devices.

Responsibilities

• Production support engineering for testing methods, procedures, and problems
• Address device specification and yield problems
• Minor redesign of devices and masks
• Analyze customer returns
• Optimize device production relative to cost constraints
• Assume responsibility for devices after transfer to high-volume production
• Oversee entire device manufacturing operations (excluding wafer fabrication)
• Assist customers with device usage problems or testing of complex devices

Requirements

• Completed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
• 1–3 years of medical or clinical experience or exposure
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
• Experience as a Mechanical or Electrical Technician
• Basic job knowledge of systems, techniques, and procedures of product or process design
• Legally authorized to work in the United States; must be able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering (preferred over Electrical Engineering Technology)
• BS in Mechanical Engineering
• Ability to use AI to complete tasks and support the project team

Skills

• Ability to identify, diagnose, and/or correct mechanical, electrical, or software issues
• Understanding of compliance with medical device regulations and good manufacturing practices

Pay

$35.00 – $45.00/hour (W2 contract)
