What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the design of Products and Processes.
- Create and test Product Prototypes.
- Collaborate with Product Development Teams.
- Support design efforts of Product Engineering Team for new products and models as required.
- Support the design and testing of critical components for existing and new models and options as required; utilize FEA Analysis as a testing medium for proposed design and/or structural changes for new and existing models, components and testing.
- Support testing procedures with R&D personnel and establish testing criteria for new designs and existing products and components, support test fixture development as required.
- Support the specification of materials and structures to enhance product performance in the Field.
- Review designs for possible cost reductions and develop design improvements where applicable.
- Work with Warranty to identify and rectify product/component problems identified by warranty claims; support the reduction of warranty expenses through analysis of warranty claims and review for design improvements.
- Work with Salesmen/Field Reports to identify and rectify product problems; travel as required as part of research and problem solving analysis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management or required by the position.
What We're Looking For
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or an Associate's Degree with minimum of 5 years of engineering experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; including Word, Excel, etc. as well as ability to operated a CAD system and software.
- Technician writing experience required.
- Must have an understanding of a wide range of production processes.
Pay and Benefits
Pay for this position is $75-85k/year (depending on experience) + Monthly Bonus (up to $5,000 per year)! Timpte Also Offers GREAT Benefits:
