Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of mechanical products by studying customer requirements and applying engineering principles to design products such as bezels, brackets, chassis, etc.
- Evaluate mechanical designs of chassis and servers, applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Assure product quality by designing testing methods, testing both samples and finished products, and confirming manufacturing, assembly, and installation processes.
- Collaborate with the product manager to define and release planning, product design, and support of development activities, regulatory compliance, and management of the product life cycle.
- Work with other departments to ensure the chassis/server platform is effectively leveraged across the product portfolio.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams for sustaining activities like Return Material Authorization (RMA), Failure Analysis, and Enhanced Configuration Options (ECO) implementations.
- Provide documentation and technical expertise to support chassis/server product lines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Material Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of system or mechanical engineering experience.
- Familiarity with Windows Server and Linux operating systems.
- Solid background in mechanical engineering is required.
- Experience with ProE, CAD design tools.
- Good communication skills, including both written and verbal.
Pay
$70,000 - $138,000
