- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering during MBOM development to ensure intent is preserved and discrepancies are resolved.
- Drive continuous improvement of product data governance and release quality processes.
- Own product definition beyond design intent, including configuration, assembly structure, and documentation readiness.
- Ensure product configurations align with customer requirements, commercial agreements, and internal standards.
- Maintain alignment between design documentation, product structures, and released configurations.
- Own the initiation, coordination, and execution of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Manage front-end change requests originating from Sales, PMs, Manufacturing, Quality, or site feedback.
- Cross-functional review and approval of ECRs and ECNs with Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Quality, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure approved changes are properly implemented, documented, and communicated across all affected teams.
- Enforce structured engineering release and change control processes to ensure product definition integrity prior to manufacturing handoff.
- Monitor product data quality within PLM, identifying recurring issues in revisions, configurations, effectivity, and documentation completeness.
- Identify systemic gaps in product definition workflows and drive corrective improvements to prevent downstream manufacturing disruption.
- Develop and maintain product-specific governance standards, release checklists, and validation criteria.
- Support continuous improvement of PLM–ERP integration processes to improve alignment, traceability, and change accuracy.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and IT to strengthen release quality gates and reduce change-related risk.
- Support onboarding by reinforcing product data governance standards, system usage expectations, and configuration control discipline.
